I enjoyed this challenge, and liked looking into the different awards, since there are a lot out there. My favorite books would have been The Bone People and The Tale of Depereaux, perfect since I read a majority of Booker and Newbery winners. I get to pick two because I read 23 books! I am pleased with the overall quality of the books I read, and that I managed to read from a variety of book awards. There are more books to read and more awards to discover; luckily, I believe 3m is planning another edition.
Wow.. you did great with this challenge. I started out great, but then have been sidetracked by so many other things that I haven't been able to keep on it. My plan is to still read my list, even though the challenge is widing down.

trish - The Bone People was such a different book than I usually like, but it sucked me in completely.
ReplyDeleteI wanted to read the books I had originally listed, since they were ones I owned. That's why my list got so long, I kept reading other books instead, and A Lesson Before Dying, the first book on my list, was still sitting there.
3m - I copy you all the time! I read your great reviews and then I want to read the book too. Plus, bookawrds group means we read a lot the same.
We (my mom and daughter and me) did a book club on Despereuax. We ate little crackers and had tea in my daughter's play tea set, and talked about the book.
