BLOGGING: It's Tuesday, Where Are You?

Tomorrow is the last day to give suggestions for The Bookword Game, over here at Suey's. By late Wednesday, I'll have a poll up to vote on. Head on over and join the fun.

I've seen a few anniversary blog posts lately, like Suey and Florinda's third, both posted today, which reminded me that I guess I missed mine. I started in February 2007, with a Booking Through Thursday post, after some random hello post. Thanks to Jeanne and Paula for the very first comments!

In reading, I am in northern Ontario, near Moose Factory. Will Bird, a Cree bush pilot is in a hospital talking to his nieces, one of whom is missing. (Through Black Spruce, Joseph Boyden)

My first time here and the first to comment, how cool! :)

How cold is it today in northern Ontario? I'm in ILlinois and it's GORGEOUS out today! What a change. Nearly 60 degrees and sunny; grass is getting green and I'm going for a walk in a little bit. And that feeling of natural and renewal goes perfectly with one of the books I'm reading/looking at: "PersonaliTrees," which is a collection of nature photography (trees) by Joan Klostermann-Ketels. The pictures show trees depicting human emotion and conditions, with inspirational quotations that match beautifully. I guarantee you, you won't be able to go for a walk without seeing trees and stopping to study them, and look for the new and unusual, without seeing them in a whole new way. I intend to do some serious study when I go for my walk.

It's winter in Northern Ontario now in my book, but it is fully spring in PEI today. Couldn't be a better week of weather. The tree book sounds interesting.
thanks for stopping by today
P.S. I love Maeve Binchy...

Oh, yeah, Maeve Binchy rocks.

Here's where I am http://confuzzledbooks.blogspot.com/2010/03/its-t...

And Happy Anniversary! I believe I have missed my first blog anniversary, I started in... I think June of 2008. Time goes so fast it hard to believe. It also so makes me wonder if I pass a year does that make me an advanced book blogger because I still feel like it is my first year. lol

Hi Shannon, good to see you again. Bali sounds like a wonderful place to be. I think a year in blogging time makes you advanced, for sure.
Happy belated Blogiversary!

I'm just in one place at the moment.

thanks.
Your book looks cute. I'm going to have to go on a YA binge pretty soon, some of the books you've reviewed lately look great, and I love how I can fly through them.
Happy belated blogiversary! I remember when you started blogging. I love your blog. Sorry I haven't commented much, in quite a while. I still love your posts but I've been kind of bad about commenting anywhere, lately.

Reading-wise, I'm sweating in Vietnam and Cambodia in The Lotus Eaters. I think I'm about to go globe-hopping in Postcards from a Dead Girl. And, I've been hanging out in the creek with Tom Sawyer in Missouri. Lately, I haven't picked up my other read, but I was in England for a while and I'm also reading some poetry which lacks specific location.

I read Huck Finn last year for the first time, but I think Tom looks more interesting. Vietnam, hmm. That's the second reference to The Lotus Eaters today. It's a sign.

I feel like there is an old group of us, that still post a bit, still read, but aren't so great with the comments. I'm the same as you, not commenting so much. Google reader is great because even if you only post occasionally (booklogged!) the update is there right away.

We're this like an old married couple who don't talk anymore, but still enjoy each others company. Good to see you today!
Happy late third blogiversary to you too! Did we discover each other right at the start? I can't even remember, but I think so! :)
Still nice out here in Illinois -- but snow is coming ...
I got a little sidetracked, but Tom Sawyer is pretty fun, so far. Multiple comments about the Lotus Eaters . . . take it as a sign. It's a good book. It's one that I feel I have to put down, now and then (that seems to be true of any book about Vietnamn, though).

You put that soooo well about the old blogger family. It does seem like we've gotten to where a lot of us aren't so great at commenting, although we're still out there. Sometimes, I think I should do what Book Nook Les has done and just weed my reader down to a few old favorites.

LOL - love that last comment about being like an old married couple! It's nice to talk to you after such a long time! I'll try to be more present.
Oops, sorry -- Vietnam. Can't type. Ate cheesecake. Very destructive stuff, makes you feel flabby the moment you put down the fork.
