I liked your post of past reads from this challenge. great idea!
The Distant Hours and the Agatha Christie are both excellent choices.

I've read from both those authors before, so I know that they are great reads.

The Agatha Christie is the only one I've read (oh, and Maisie Dobbs) so I'll be really interested to read what you have to say about the others. I wondered about The Reapers myself, but I haven't read anything else by Connolly and I'm going for things I know I'll enjoy this year :-)

My sister read The Reapers and said it was was good, not necessarily great. I like that Connolly is Irish, so it goes with the Ireland Challenge as well.
And Then There Were None is one of my favorite books by Christie! I hope you get the chance to read it!!!

I know I read all her books when I was much younger, but I don't remember much about them, other than I like Poirot. And Then There Were None is very high on my get read list.
I read The Distant Hours last year during RIP and LOVED it! Happy reading!

So good to hear! I read The House at Riverton in January (while Downton Abbey was on - they are forever linked in my head) and really enjoyed it.
I love Shirley Jackson so I hope you do too! I have several Christie's on my pile. I've been going through a phase.

Christie will do that to you. And there are so many of them.
The Distant Hours sounds like a good one!

Kate Morton writes great tales. I'm looking forward to it.
Just stumbled across your blog. I would strong recommend the Joe Hill collection. It was a very pleasant surprise.

I've read his Heart Shaped Box, and I've always loved his father's short stories. thanks for stopping by, and for the rec!
I have the newest Maisie waiting for me.
I have joined this challenge for the first time.

I am so behind in Maisie. I know I liked them, but I've only read two of them. You'll enjoy this challenge. Have fun!
Oooh, you have got to read The Haunting of Hill House (one of my all-time favourite ghost stories), and I just read The Broken Shore a little while ago, and it is so good that it is in my top 10 books read this year, possibly my favourite of the year. So very very good. I've been meaning to get to the Stephen King and the Karin Slaughter (I keep picking up Undone and then putting it down, thinking I already have it), and I've heard good things about the Joe Hill collection. Lovely list there, raidergirl3!!! enjoy the challenge!
PS I'm really enjoying Maisie Dobbs, too, and you know Jo Nesbo is the writer of Harry Hole, my detective love! books are very very good mysteries. I have the latest to read, I didn't think about it for the challenge.

I have to get back to Nesbo as well. I'm trying to finish up some other books that I've wanted to read before I get back to Nesbo. I want to really get into that series.

Maisie's are much quieter than Harry Hole, but equally enjoyable.
