I've just started watching Stranger Things on Netflix, and it definitely fits into the RIP category. My 13 year old has come to the living room to investigate the screaming she's been hearing when I watch this scary show. I plan to watch the last 5-6 episodes during this RIP season.

Stranger Things is really good!! I am looking forward to the next season. :)
Welcome back once again! Crazy that we've been on this adventure for this long. Happy to have you along with us again.

Haven't tried Stranger Things yet, but it certainly seems everyone is watching it and this will be the perfect time of year.

I hope everything you read and watch is wonderfully perilous.

Thanks Carl. Glad to see you are back.
Will we get an update on Stranger Things? Your final verdict when you finish it? I'm wondering if it's going to be a good one for me -- I don't have any of the nostalgia for the time period, having been totally deprived of pop culture until approx the year 2004 -- but I do like spooky things!

Jenny - I have 2 episodes left of Stranger Things. It is set in the 80s, and I do love the 80s, but that shouldn't distract from the other stuff going on. There is a Lost feel to me, and a strong dose of Stephen King-ness. I could actually see King having written something like this. He is always a fan of the 11 year old kids as protagonist, and telekinesis, and gross monsters.

It suffers from a Harry Potter like plot device - the 'dont' tell anyone what you just figured out; just run and react to a situation based on something you figured out.'
And you've already finished a book? Well done. And I'm betting you've moved further in Stranger Things than you expected to by now? At least I sure ended up watching more of them more quickly than I expected to!

BIP - It was a really quick read, not as mysterious or suspenseful as I might usually read, but it was a legal story, and there was an attempted murder. Based on real life.
I only have 2 episodes left of Stranger Things. Very exciting/thrilling series.
