BLOGGING: It's Tuesday, Where Are You?

I just left Sicily with Inspector Montalbano, and am about to land in Tennessee where there has been a Death in the Family. (James Agee)

Where is reading taking you today? Leave a comment, write a post, spread the word.

I'm in nineteenth century America. I'm in the midst of the political intrigue surrounding Andrew Jackson and his presidency. Lots of things surprised me.

I am in the Australian bush country in the quaint town of Karakarook with some quirky characters in The Idea of Perfection by Kate Grenville. I'm three quarters of the way through and I absolutely adore this book. Grenville has developed these characters in such vivid detail that you know what they'll say almost before you read it on the page. Great stuff.

I am in Yorkshire and the Royal Court of England in the time of Henry VII. I know lots of very influential people and so I am getting to comment on some very famous events in history. (The Dark Rose by Cynthia Harrod Eagles)

I'm in Chicago and some of the surrounding states. It's 1934, and the FBI is having growing pains as famous criminals such as John Dillinger, Baby Face Nelson, The Barker gang and Bonnie and Clyde are running rampant.

I just started a book set in Texas and it has captured my interest. I needed that - I've been starting several novels and only made it a chapter or two when I decided I wasn't in the mood for it. My Texas book is The Story of Forgetting.
