BLOGGING: It's Tuesday, Where Are You?

There is a poll over at Suey's for this week's Bookword. Go vote!

It's May already! Crazy how quickly time goes by. What's the best book you've read so far this year? I'd say my favorite has been Major Pettigrew's Last Stand by Helen Simonson. Delightful!

In reading, I am in a midwestern University town, about to start a job as a nanny. (A Gate at the Stairs, Lorri Moore)

Where is reading taking you today? Leave a comment, write a post, spread the word.

I don't know about being a nanny, but I like the midwest!
I'm playing today: here.

I'm not completely sure what my best book of the year is. My best of April was Embroideries (review on my blog)
I'm about to start life in New Zealand although I have a feeling I'm going to end up in Australia ...

I'm starting a re-read of The Thorn Birds today and am really looking forward to it.
I'm in Sweden...I'm a journalist, about to get a strange assignment and a strange new partner.
"The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo"
At the moment, I'm in France hanging out with the musketeers. But I'm not sure I'm going to stick with them... I may trade them in for a new location! :)
I have read a surprising number of excellent books so far this year. I think The Help is probably the best book I read and When I Reach You my favorite.

As as for locale I'm in the city of Ember with a girl who likes to run and a boy who has given up a great job in order to take a job below ground.
I'm in Paris doing my best not to be pigeon-holed as a particular type of tourist. (The Dud Avocado, Elaine Dundy) :)
