Welcome to my little part of the Advent Tour. Christmas holidays seem like the time of the year we are most likely to get out the board games and play games as a family. A chance to try out the new games, like Cranium or Rock Band, or play the old favorites, like Clue, Payday, or Life. Even the cards come out, with rousing games of crib, auction, and hearts. It must be something about family time, and being together for Christmas that makes us turn off the television and play.
In that spirit I have a little guessing game for you. Have you watched any seasonal movies yet this year? Do you have a favorite you bring out at Christmas? There are the old favorites, and then the new modern movies that are quickly becoming classics, at least at out house. I haven't seen all of these, but they are all seasonal in some way. Can you identify the movie the quotes are from. Read them over, make a guess, and then, if you highlight the space at the end of each clue, you can see how well you did.

I suck at these things, but I do know 10 :D I love Scrooged. It was my childhood Christmas movie and I've watched it more times than I can count.
ReplyDeleteAnd even though I'm bad at these things, I think they're a lot of fun :D
Aww I suck at these quizzes, but I got some of the right though. And it was fun going through each one and seeing the answers sure bring back the memories of the movies. That was fun :)
ReplyDeleteThat is a lovely and cute picture! Thanks for sharing and Happy Holidays to you!
I got most of them. I think it's because I've seen them so many times!
ReplyDeleteIs it scary that we watch these movies over and over and over every year. It is almost a religion in itself, that is tradition. What a clever way to post your favorite movies. Personally my favorite would be the "Charlie Brown' movie. Great post
ReplyDeleteI love how you hid the answers! This was a great quiz. My husband and I are huge movie buffs so I pretty much knew all of them. Because I'm also a Christmas Maniac and love every film and show about this season.
ReplyDelete'Blackadder's Christmas' is one I absolutely can't get through Christmas without.
I know How the Gringe Stole Christmas, and It's a Wonderful Life, and I think A Christmas Carol is in there too! Great post!
ReplyDeleteThat was so great. I loved this post!! I did get some of them. My favorite is Christmas Story. Though I am fond of the Scrooge variations.
ReplyDeleteThank you:)
Have a great holiday!
I did pretty good at that quiz. A couple of them I knew I knew, but couldn't remember from what movie. I have never seen Scrooged before, I apparently need to remedy that!
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining in!
I also suck at these things because I am quite sure I haven't really seen any of those films, except the Griswold-family ones. But thanks for making the post, it was fun reading, but I had to cheat :-)
ReplyDeleteI got a few of them! I only just watched Santa Claus 3 on the weekend so that helped!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for a fun addition to the tour!
What a cute idea. Thanks for the Christmas movie refresher course.
ReplyDeleteI like that you play games more at Christmas time. That's a good idea. :)
The quiz idea was brilliant! I am afraid that all the good ideas are going to be taken by the time I get to post. :(
ReplyDeleteI'm not usually good at these and I got 8. The Polar Express one sounded familiar but I've only seen the movie once. Great idea!
ReplyDeleteI'm hopeless, we don't really get into the Christmas movies.
ReplyDeleteGreat quiz! I adore "Love Actually." And my sisters and I have a holiday tradition of watching Home Alone 2 together...not the original, but the Lost in New York one! We know almost all the words.
ReplyDeleteHi!
ReplyDeleteWonderful post! I really suck at these things. I can remember the movies they are from, but can't remember the name of the movies. I go 2 of them right anyway. #4 and #8. Thanks for stopping by my place today.
Sherrie
What a great idea! I had so much fun guessing them, and dragging my husband into it when I couldn't recall them - we love games ;-) I got 11 right...I missed It's a Wonderful Life, which I don't really like (I can hear the gasps around the world!), but I love A Christmas Story, and the Grinch, Charlie Brown, Love Actually......wonderful theme, raidergirl3! and i like your photo at the end.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun game! I didn't recognize very many, but I do know a couple..The Grinch, A Christmas Story, and Santa Claus.
ReplyDeleteWell done
ReplyDeleteThanks! That was fun. I actually knew quite a few. LOL That really is sayin' something. =)
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas!
That was really fun, although I hardly got any right! I think my all-time favorite Christmas movie is "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation." I've seen it just about every year around this time and I still laugh.
ReplyDeleteWe've already watched Elf four times this month. My three year old loves it!
ReplyDeleteWhile I've seen most of these, I only got 4. Hasn't #14 been said in most movies based on A Christmas Carol?
