BLOGGING: It's Tuesday, Where Are You?

Summer is definitely winding down here. The weather has predictably turned cooler after Old Home Week, our local fair and exhibition. My son, heading off to junior high, is at band camp this week, learning about the trombone. I have been attacked by a cleaning bug, trying to cull and organize a summer's worth of work in two weeks. Anyone know what to do with 20 year old university textbooks? I have two each of many chemistry books, as husband and I were in the same classes. The green beans are just about done in the garden. And the RIP IV was just announced.

I am in a small town in Ireland, circa 1950, and love is in the air, with an interesting cast of characters, as I'd expect in small town Ireland. (Love and Summer, by William Trevor)

Where is reading taking you today? Leave a comment, write a post, spread the word.

  1. I was in Oklahoma at my vampire school earlier today, but then I moved onto New York. In both of these books it requires the teenage protaganists to work towards saving the world! (Untamed by PC and Kristin Cast and City of Ashes by Cassandra Clare).

I am also in medieval England. I am married to a man who abuses me, but I suspect something is going to happen soon so that my life will end up being a bit happier. Fingers crossed anyway.

  2. I am in an English market town in 1930. And I have just seen something very interesting ...

    More details here.

  3. I'm also trying to cram everything I should have done into this week!

I'm in Eastern Africa with a local boy who has come to work with me as a medical assistant (Out of Africa)

  4. I'm in England today and enjoying myself with some new people.

  5. As usual, I'm all over the place!

  6. New York from 1920s to now.

  7. I'm in my favorite city in the world, Portland. Thinking about burning my house so that horrible lady I hate won't be able to move in. I've been forced to sell my house and it's killing me! (House and Home by Kathleen McCleary)

  8. Still in a Korean village in 1898. A cousin of the main landowner just came to visit from Seoul and the villagers are making fun of him because he's dressed in western-style clothing.
