BLOGGING: It's Tuesday, where are you?

It's election day here in Canada. That's all the politics I want to talk about today, but I will say that on PEI, we get about 70 - 80% turnout, probably lower for federal elections rather than provincial. Elections are very big here on Prince Edward Island. For my Canadian pals, who will recognize the leaders, here's a little clip from The Rick Mercer Report that had my children laughing:

Now, where are we reading? I just left China in the 1800s with the beautiful story of Snow Flower and the Secret Fan (Lisa See) . I am getting ready to travel Europe with the People of the Book very soon (Geraldine Brooks). Where is reading taking you today?

  1. I saw that show. That was pretty funny- and pretty acurate!

Anyway, I think I'll head into the unknown with Coraline today.

  2. Even without knowing Canadian politics, that was still pretty darn funny!

I played here, but unfortunately, I don't seemed to have moved much.

  3. Love the video - I think I'm going to post that on my blog too :-)

    As for where I am today . . .

I'm in Florence, Italy in 1488. I'm a 13 year old painter's apprentice, but what I really want to be is a sculptor. My name is Michelangelo Buonarroti.

I didn't join last week but I'm in roughly the same location. So I'm still in Tokyo - literally and in my book! :P

  11. I'm all over the place - I'm in Florida trying to find out what ever happened to my mother(Aberrations by Penelope Przekop). I'm a girl inside a guy's head at an expensive Connecticut prep school (Inside the Mind of Gideon Rayburn by Sarah Miller). And when I'm not there, I'm somewhere lurking in the history of Brooklyn (In the Country of Brooklyn by Peter Golenbock). No wonder I'm feelin' a little confused.... ;-)

  13. I hadn't seen that Mercer Report - what a hoot! The kids all really looked like the politicians, especially Harper! I liked the "strong like the Hulk" part. :)
